Monitoring Functions

Volume Leak:
Volume leak alarm is given if the volume flow difference exceeds the set threshold for two consecutive measuring periods each max. 210 seconds.

ALOHA®:
The patented ALOHA® mechanism enables the passage of air pockets through the flow meters without causing false alarms, and without altering the basic sensitivity of the system.
Thus system KMP-F offers optimum reliability.

Seepage: (OptiTight®)
The patented OptiTight® mechanism employs individual control of the cut-off valves to test the installation tightness one or more times daily, whereby even minute seepage may be detected.

System Error:
When a valve is closed -  by tightness test or alarm -  the system checks its tightness. If a component fails, a System Error Alarm ensues.
Failure of any internal voltage supply causes a System Error Alarm. Functional failure reported by Kamstrup MULTICAL® causes a System Error Alarm.
No cut-off results from System Error Alarm.

Alarm Functions

On leak errors, KMP-F will cut off the installation, issue visble and audible alarms, and activate the alarm relay.
System error is reported via the alarm relay, and visibly and audibly when possible. Valve error is reported visibly.
Leakage Alarm from KMP-F may be read out via any communication module in the INFO code from MULTICAL® 801 s/w rev. D1 or newer, and via M-bus, LON and GSM/GPRS modules in info bits from MULTICAL®603 or 803.

Options

Liquid sensor attachment: (Opt. V)
Accepts two liquid sensors type LS-X, for select protection of sensitive areas with optional cut-off.

SMS-alarm:
By attachment to AERS system KMP-F may text mobile phone(s) on alarm.

Outdoor Temperature Sensor
Suppresses OptiTight® tightness test in cold weather, protecting unsecured calorifiers.

Drain valve:
Employed in critical applications for draining the heating system installation on leakage alarm.

Operating Pressure Monitor: (Opt. P)
Cuts off installation when operating pressure fails. Minimizes media loss and restart difficulty.
